Purpose: Crossroads Housing Co-op was established in 1986 by Latin American immigrants who were at a pivotal moment in their lives, having left their home countries due to various political reasons. They sought to create a supportive community for fellow Latin American immigrants, providing a haven where they could stay connected to their Latin American roots, culture, and language while adapting to a new country, culture, and language.
Location: The co-op is strategically situated in the heart of south Vancouver and half a block from McDonald Park, which features a playground and tennis courts. The co-op is only five blocks from Memorial Park, offering an outdoor gym, tennis courts, a walking and running track, and baseball and soccer fields. Notably, the soccer fields at Memorial Park will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup games on June 18th and 24th, 2026.
Transportation: The co-op enjoys excellent connectivity with access to several bus routes, including buses 41, R4, 3, 8, the 8 night bus, and 49th. It is also conveniently close to SkyTrain stations at Oak Ridge and Langara.
Amenities: Residents benefit from a variety of shops, coffee shops, banks, and specialty food item stores located along Fraser Street from 41st to about 50th, providing a vibrant and diverse neighborhood atmosphere.
Units: The co-op consists of 26 units, designed to accommodate families of different sizes: – 6 one-bedroom units – 12 two-bedroom units – 6 three-bedroom units – 2 four-bedroom units.
